Very true. And this is one (of many) reasons that many people are disappointed with their job search results. Cover letter writing has to be taken seriously. You simply must put some time and thought into each letter you write. Employers don't know you're applying for 10 jobs today, they only see the one cover letter and resume you send to them. They can very easily tell if you took the time to write a custom cover letter for the job opening they have. If you don't care enough to do this, you're definitely not that interested in the job and they definitely won't be that interested in you.

Good tip. Many job seekers don't pay attention to their cover letters. They just write anything.

I paid a professional resume service to revamp my resume and they used two of listed words you're suggested not to. When I wrote my own resume, I used award-winning and dynamic. The differences of opinion can be confusing.

Customization of resume is an art that does not come easily to every jobseeker.
Then there is a science of customization which converts a plain text resume into
8 graphs, online / automatically / instantly.
If the main goal of a resume is to capture the attention of the recruiters and it's
secondary goal is to motivate the recruiters to read it long enough to interpret the
jobseeker's story, then you will appreciate what www.CustomizeResume.com can
do for your career.
To impress the recruiters, what you need is a graphical / visual / analytical presentation.
