Post What makes a good Resume

I am looking to write a resume and have even considered using a resume service. I am not sure what makes a good resume and would like some advice. My concerns include which format to use chronological, functional, or both. Also is there a list of keywords that I should be using because know most companies use software to scan applications that look for keywords? Furthermore, should I always include a cover letter or not?
