Anyway, here are some tips to help you land that job of your dreams:

What do you want?

You have gone through years of schooling, college, maybe university too, so hopefully by now you actually know what job it is you want, and have the skills to get it. Make a list of your skills, your strengths and weaknesses, these will come in handy come time of the interview anyway, but it will help you ascertain what you want and need. You also should think about the company you want to work for. This could be in terms of ethics or a message that you like. The more you know about the position you want and how you want to achieve it, the better.

The Interview

First and foremost, make sure you are clean, think fingernails, ears, etc., and dress smart. A suit is the best idea. Take it seriously, and they will take you seriously. Bring a paper and pen with you to take into the interview to write notes. Make sure you have researched the sorts of questions they may ask and practice your responses. Do not ramble on. If they ask you a question, you can’t immediately think of an answer too, think for a moment, take some water, give yourself a bit of time. This will show you are measured and don’t just say the first thing that jumps into your head. Interviews can be very tough, and everyone you have is one step closer you getting that job. So, if you are not successful in your first few attempts, do not worry this is normal, and you will be successful eventually.
